Suarez, Sturridge and Sterling over Aguero and Co... why Liverpool have the edge in my combined title-chasing XI

Sportsmail expert MARTIN KEOWN mulls over the big talking points ahead of Sunday's potential Premier League title decider at Anfield.
It's a tough task picking a side from these squads.
Liverpool have the edge in my team (right) with six players to City’s five, but that shows you just how far they have come this season.
I think Mignolet has been more consistent than Hart and the same goes for my back four — all are reliable performers.
Gerrard and Toure would be some midfield engine room while Liverpool’s attacking trio would be supported by Silva’s creative brilliance.

The midfield battle could decide this match. Brendan Rodgers knows about the threat of Yaya Toure and David Silva, so he may make some tweaks.
He has not been afraid to tinker this season and I wouldn’t be surprised if he brings in Lucas or Joe Allen to support Steven Gerrard in combatting City’s power.

Martin Demichelis has played better in recent weeks, but he is still a weak link. Liverpool will attack him whenever they can and Luis Suarez will be licking his lips.

Everybody talks about the spirit at Anfield this season, but City are just as strong.
I watched the Under 21 Premier League cup final this week and all of City’s top stars were there to support the youth team.

City must get behind Gerrard

If Liverpool win the league, this will be Steven Gerrard’s greatest ever season. But City will look to isolate him. If he plays alone in that deeper role, City can have success if they flood players in behind him.
If Samir Nasri and David Silva can get themselves in behind Gerrard, they can use Edin Dzeko to draw out the centre halves and create space. The City midfielders can then exploit that with clever movement and work the ball in to create chances.
